March

Event Name: Kids in the Kitchen - The Breakfast Alternative

When: Saturday, March 3rd (11:00-11:45)

Where: Burke Therapy

3 Grist Mill Rd. Simsbury

(Second Floor)

Cost: Free Community Event

Kids can be selective and down right picky when in comes to mealtime. If your family is anything like mine, a typical school day breakfast has to be quick and easy. The most preferred breakfast choice often consists of sugar coated cereals, muffins or syrup smothered waffles. Trying to convince them that fruit and/or veggies can be just as good is challenging to say the least.

Making smoothies is a great way to not only introduce the concepts of reading, math and science into the kitchen, but they are also fun to make!

Come see how to sneak fiber, vitamins, antioxidants and natural sugars into a healthy drink that your child will be sure to love anytime of the day.

Each participant will have fun mixing and matching their own favorite fruits and vegetables together to come up with their very own smoothie masterpiece!

If interested, please contact Julie Burke at 203-414-3768 or at burketherapy@gmail.com. Pre-registration is required.
