Burke Therapy is excited to introduce its newest member of our speech therapy team!

Lauren Persico received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2014 from Southern CT State University. She holds both a Connecticut State License and a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Since receiving her degree, she has worked full-time in a public-school setting supporting children using a multi-modal approach to functional communication including speech/language, simple sign language, and AAC (augmentative alternative communication) iPad communication apps such as LAMP and Proloquo2go; as well as individual and classroom-based therapy for articulation/phonology disorders, fluency, syntax/grammar, functional and pragmatic/social language (utilizing the Michelle Garcia Winner - Social Thinking curriculum).
Come meet Lauren and see for yourself how she is able to infuse evidence-based practice into naturalistic play while making therapy fun and highly effective.
