Public Service Provider Update From Burke Therapy
Dear Burke Therapy Families,
As I am sure you are well aware, most the the surrounding public and private schools have closed for at least the next two weeks. With this change in all our daily lives, I wanted to reach out to address some of the questions that I have been receiving from you.
Burke Therapy is working hard to create solutions that will allow for your service providers to continue their weekly interventions. First and foremost, we will continue our usual sanitary procedures of frequent hand-washing, regular sanitation of all work and play surfaces and materials, as well as ramping up disinfecting our common areas like door knobs, counters, technology and seat areas. Our restrooms are included in this daily practice and will remain fully stocked with hand soap for that extra scrub.
For the next two weeks, Burke Therapy will remain open. We are paying close attention to our scheduling to avoid large crowds in our common spaces and to allow for ample time between sessions to tend to our cleaning protocols. If you aren't comfortable with venturing outdoors to make your appointments, we are happy to place your weekly appointment on hold. Please contact your provider or respond to this email and I will be sure to pass along the message.
If you do not wish to come into the office but are concerned that a lapse in therapy will impact progress, we are offering remote Telehealth services via thera-LINK. Thera-LINK provides a top-notch Telehealth video platform that is easy to use and HIPAA-compliant. Using thera-LINK, we are still able to deliver to our clients high quality, convenient therapy while keeping all our families safe.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about thera-LINK telehealth, please contact Julie Burke at 203-414-3768. We are all hopeful that we will be back to our normal routines in two weeks.
